This is a lovely old small mesh purse from Germany. Could have been a fancy change purse. Measures from clasp down 4 inches and across the frame 2 1/2 inches.
I believe it's brass, although it could be gold or gold filled. The Frame is unusual, it looks like tortise, close inspection...it could be baked on enamel. The clasp has Two nice size stones. It's got a dainty little frindge, a small section is loose, maybe 1/8th of an inch, The frame closures on the corners see some of the mesh apart, please see pictures. I would say, 80% in very good condition. The other places could be repaired. It displays beautifully...and is very unusual. Would make a perfect heirloom ring purse!
Just guessing, would think it's from the 50's.
